Most teachers in the primary grades (and often upper elementary, too) have some sort of program to honor a different. All about me (read and show pictures) I also attach to the letter, a ‘read all about me’ poster and a brown paper bag for the student to bring in some special items they would like to share with the class.
Highlighting a star student of the week each week is a great way to learn about your students and build classroom community. I love doing this with my students because. The star student gets to do so many fun things!
